THINGS YOU WILL NEVER FORGET ABOUT MADLUM RIVER, BULACAN

I was amazed by this river in two days of hike at Mt. Manalmon and Bayukbok cave spelunking. This added those activities excitement and amazement I never had before. You can swim, fish, cross particular river you never had before and witness majestic sedimentary rock forms!

A UNIQUE RIVER

1. HOW TO CROSS A RIVER?
Can you tell me how to cross every river you saw? Swim? a boat? yup those were the usual things but check this one out!

Well there's something you would definitely enjoy crossing this said river. To start the trail from the jump-off to the Mt. Manalmon Summit, we have to cross it via "balsa" or bamboo raft, monkey bridge or zipline, it's up to you which one you prefer.
crossing via "balsa"

via zipline.
2. SWIM
It was so nice to swam on a river together with the "tilapiang tabang" plus sedimentary rocks all around you. It was like swimming on a huge rock tub with fishes in it.

3. SEDIMENTARY
After entering a cave, you will notice part of Madlum river along the trail. Exciting part of it was to cross it's river beds. Moreover, you will be amazed by its sedimentary rock formation over the River aside from those at the jump-off. It has somewhat mystical effect due to its water reflections, formations and trees backdrop enhanced more by winds.

That time, I was thinking, how does those rock formed or how it went there, the answer is clear on its rocks. Shells were like engrave on it (sediments). It might be covered by waters millions of years ago. In short Bulacan was submerge into deep waters before! Would you imagine that? Basically this stream sediments might be formed by fragments of rocks and minerals or extracted ions dissolved in water from living organisms to form shells and bones. (phew, nosebleed.)

4. ALL AROUND
From the the peak of Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola you will surely noticed the nice view of the river surrounding the mountains and the whole Sitio Madlum.

I hope this post will help you greatly appreciate Madlum river when you visit Sitio Madlum, Mt. Manalmon, Bayukbok Caves and Mt. Gola.

It's a good habit to Comment, Like and Share.. :)
